Well almost new.  These photos were taken after she slept in it and while she was planting trees.

bubbles and blooms

It seems that every time we get a jar of bubbles around here, they spill in minutes.  I am not a big fan of running to the store for more so we just made our own.

We mixed 1/4 cup dish liquid with 3/4 cup water and a dash of glycerin.  They work pretty good and since we have all of these ingredients on hand we will not be running out of bubbles again!

Charlie has kept very busy chasing them singing "pop pop pop" interjecting an "oh man" when one pops before it gets off of the stick.

And look at what is blooming in the yard!!!

Rainy Saturday

 

today

I spent the whole of this beautiful day in the garden with my little helper.  We pulled lots of weeds, planted lots of seeds, transplanted, harvested, discovered worms and frogs, and got very dirty.  It was a great day indeed.

He is 2

My sweet little yellow truck lovin attached to his mama baby turned two yesterday.  It was such a nice day filled with food and friends and laughter.  We are so blessed.

Charlie at 2

He loves work trucks more than anything.  He is clingy when he is unsure.  He takes awhile to warm up to people.  He sings songs a lot.  Mostly about trucks.  His version of the abc's is pretty darn cute too.  He is addicted to youtube videos of trucks with dramatic singing in the background.  "He's an excavator..."  He can navigate an iphone like you wouldn't believe!  He calls himself baby.  He still likes to guh guh babies.  He calls the trampoline boing.  He can be quite bossy.  He is super silly and love to laugh.  He pretty much lives on yogurt and cheese.  He can't fall asleep without a body to touch.  He is so snuggly and loves to cuddle.  He is something special and I am so lucky to be his mama.

 

When the bigs were little I used to take them to the zoo all of the time.  Now we seem so busy and it is a 45 minute drive so C has only been once.  He loves animals so we decided for his birthday we would go.  Since the kids were off school on Monday we went a day early.  It was a beautiful day and though it was busy, we had a great time.  

C liked the animals, but the real excitement was the backhoe working outside of the aquarium!  He was thrilled!

I was soaking in the tub, reading an English book.  It's about a lady in a crappy marriage who loves to decorate.  She bought a quaint little seaside cottage and decorated it to ease her worried mind.  I am not finished so I don't know if she leaves her loser husband for the adorable doctor or not.  Let's hope.  Anyway, as I looked up from the book I saw this....

Yikes!  This is obviously post paper ripping session, but I am not the before picture type of girl.  I wish I could remember in time, but when the spirit moves me there is no holding back.  So barely dry and half dressed I started to rip the hideous paper off of the walls.

There are still a few stubborn bits to get off, but mostly it came down easily.  Now is tricky part.  What colour(I love all of the extra u's in proper english!) should I use?  Hmmm.

Blue?  Green?  Gray?  Yellow?  Beige?  So many choices!  I guess I'll just wait awhile and let it soak in.  I'm sure it will come to me.
